Campmeeting

This year, campmeeting was held at Lake Junaluska, just west of Asheville, NC. Traci and I were there to hear the Young Adult speaker, Pastor Sam Lenoir from La Sierra University Church. He is one of the most gifted speakers in the church, and if you get to hear him… do it! The week was a very powerful, ending with a church service on Sabbath. The music this year was provided by a group from Southern University, lead by Rick Anderson, Jr. Lot’s of talent and passion in these kids.

We actually spent the days up there in a house with the band, Pastor Terry Clem and his family, and a few of our friends. Let’s just say, it almost felt like a dorm, but it was a total blast. Traci and I decided to take off in the afternoon to allow us some time to maybe play on the Blue Ridge parkway. So we drove around on it, and actually ended up in the Smokey Mountain National Park, where we did a short hike up to a beautiful waterfall (look for pictures in the multimedia section). After spending an hour there, we got back in the car and headed for home. I just can’t wait for next year!
